Pilate asked Jesus a very pertinent question to our day, while examining him. He asked, “What is Truth?” This is a question that has plagued mankind since the fall of man. Even Adam was confronted with that question before he sinned the first time. Is God telling the truth, or is Satan, would experience be the best teacher or would it be better to learn from the knowledge of another. We continue to battle within ourselves to understand the foundation of Truth. Are we willing to acknowledge the power of the Word of God? Are we willing to understand the person of Jesus Christ? Many Christians today, leave truth to the “learned”, but the reality is that we all need to understand the truth and apply it to our lives. Jesus said, “You shall know the truth and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32). Our challenge for today, is to determine in our minds what we believe about the Word of God, and whether Christ is sufficient for ALL our circumstances. One of the reasons we struggle so with our circumstances, is that either we don’t know what the truth says, or we refuse to apply that truth to our lives and circumstances. May we find the peace that comes through an acceptance of the truth.
