The mind is a wonderful gift that the Lord has given to us, we need to learn to control our minds and discipline them to focus on that which is true, noble, just, pure, lovely, and of good report. That is where true contentment, and satisfaction comes from. Yet this can only be done, as we develop our relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. It starts at salvation, but it must continue to grow and develop. Knowing what God has done for us, and continues to do for us, is a key to learning to meditate on the things outlined in Philippians 4:8. Maintain your perspective – Philippians 4:8

How do you look at life? Do you perceive your circumstances based on what you believe is best for you? When we do this, we are never really satisfied with what happens. We struggle because things do not seem to be fair. I would like to propose that we begin to look at life from God’s point of view. We need to remember that God is working out everything in conformity with His purpose and will! As we do this, we must choose to respond the right way to our circumstances, and occupy our mind by planning and deciding the proper way to go. With that in mind how do we replace unjust thoughts? First, understand that right thoughts replaces hurtful thoughts, just like light removes darkness. Second, right thoughts replaces personal pride. This means that often I think that I deserve better than what I am getting. Come out and enjoy an evening of blessing and encouragement as we sing to some of our church family who are house bound for the holidays.  We are going to attempt to encourage them with a little old fashion Christmas Carols, and more importantly, demonstrate our love and appreciation to them
