Fighting the giant of Failure
We have established that failure is a real-world inevitability, and that we have reasons for failures, but we need a little bit more than these reassurances when we are standing in the rubble of shattered dreams. What ammunitions is available to us in God’s Word. Allow me to suggest 6 Biblical steps to deal with failure:1. Acknowledge your Failure (Luke 15:21) – It is no good to call it something else, call it by its name. There will be no peace in your heart until you confess your failure and turn toward the Lord to move forward.2. Accept God’s forgiveness (Psalm 103:10) God doesn’t deal with us on the basis of our failures, but in the light of His grace. 3. Apply the Lessons of Failure toward Success (Phil. 3:13-14) – The great redeeming factor of failure is this: We can learn something through failure we could never learn otherwise.4.
