The Struggle with life – Psalm 39

by Jim Jamison

Psalm 39 speaks to us of the brevity of life, and is tied to the books of Job, and Ecclesiastes. Tune up my heart and set my soul to singing – even in this Lord!” All of us have struggled with the events of life. Join us this Wednesday night, November 1, at 7:00 pm, as we examine this Psalm and attempt to discover how to work through the struggles of our circumstances.… READ MORE

The Purpose of the Ascension – Acts 1:1-11

by Jim Jamison

Because we do not talk much about Jesus’ Ascension we have for the most part ignored its significance, in our Daily lives.  We need to understand that the Ascension provides the divine provision for us to have deliverance over sin and the power of Satan.  In the Ascension Christ met the need to have a representative with God before the throne.   and as a result we have deliverance from Satan.  Hebrews 4:16-17 reminds us that Jesus is our High priest and is sympathetic to our struggle here on the earth.  Remember, he understands the power of temptation, and provided the resources to overcome that temptation in our lives.  as a result of his work, we have access into the very presence of God.  Not because we are worthy, but because Christ’s righteousness is imputed to us, through the Holy Spirit, which He sent to indwell those who put their faith in His redemptive work.  We will conclude this study this Sunday, October 29 at 10:30 am.  Why not plan on joining us if you can.… READ MORE

Our enablement comes from the Lord, and it is the Lord that provides the ability to do those things that He has called us to do. Will you allow God to work in and through you today? If so remember that 2 Corinthians 4:7 reminds us that, “We have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.” Always remember that God does not call the strong, He enables the weak!… READ MORE
