Why do we celebrate the Lord’s table on a regular basis? I Corinthians 11:24-25 reminds us that we are to “do this in remembrance of me. We often struggle with the reality of our sins, we come to the Lord for forgiveness and then find ourselves struggling to deal with our imperfections. I am so grateful to know that God does not require perfection (only He is perfect), but He does require growth that moves us toward maturity. We participate at the Lord’s table because we must remind ourselves, that we must constantly come back to the cross for forgiveness. This is not because we loose our salvation, but to humbly be reminded of what the basis of our entrance into heaven is – God’s Grace. Live in grace of God and the forgiveness that He provides for us, and offers us through Jesus Christ.
