Memorial Day is an important day in our country. It is the day we honor the sacrifices of men and women who serve our country. Unfortunately, Sacrifice has become a dirty word in our society. We need to talk back he battle for this word. We need to learn to appreciate what others do for us, and express that by saying, “Thank you, for your service!” In S2 Corinthians 12:15 Paul writes to the church at Corinth, “I will very gladly spend and be spent for your souls; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I am loved.” we need to understand that a sacrifice is something we do willingly. The motivation may not be country, the motivation may not be the service entity, but the motivation is always seen in the men and women whoa re sacrificing beside you. The motivation is our love for the faces that we see in our minds that cannot do this work themselves., but need us to provide this service for them. You never serve to get, but you serve to give. the amazing reality is that when we sacrifice out of love, we gain some amazing benefits, which we often do not understand, what satisfaction it brings.
