When Jesus said in Revelation 22:7, “Behold I am coming quickly!” Many have taken that to mean that He said, “I am coming Soon!” But I would suggest you another way to understand that phrase. He is not talking about the timing of His coming but the manner of His coming. In other words, His coming will be quick. I Corinthians 15:52 says, he will come in “the twinkling of an eye.” In Matthew 25 He shares with the disciples the parable of the 10 virgins, and how the bridegoom’s coming caught 5 unprepared. I believe as John is finishing this wonderful book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, Jesus tells him to remind everyone that His return will be quick, so stay prepared for the return. The glory of His return is that it will be in a moment when we do not think it will come, and challenges us to be prepared for that moment!
