In Psalm 57:5, David wrote “Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; Let your glory be above all the earth.”  He repeats these words in verse 11 of the same Psalm, and restates this statement again in Psalm 108:5.  In both of these Psalms, David is speaking of his assurance that God will gain victory over his enemies.  David writes Psalm 57, while hiding from Saul in the caves of the Negev.  I am reminded that I need to allow the Lord to be exalted in the midst of the struggles of life, knowing that the Lord will use those struggles to be exalted in the world.  The things that I go through are not simply a random act, but they are a carefully planned set a circumstances orchestrated by the Lord to bring glory to His name.  My problem is that I need to learn to be content in the midst of the circumstances and wait on the Lord to be used in a significant way in and through my life.
