A century ago most people believed that history was progressing inexorably toward a man-made utopia. The Industrial Revolution, the march of scientific discovery, and the increasing pace of social reform seemed to augur nothing but brighter days ahead. Today, however, two world wars; innumerable regional, civil, and national wars; countless acts of terrorism and senseless violence; and the nearly complete collapse of moral values make such rosy optimism seem quaintly naive. The Bible teaches that things will be wonderfully better, but only after they become unimaginably worse. There is only one solution for the world’s problems: the return of its true king, the Lord Jesus Christ, to establish absolute monarchy and unilateral authority in His earthly kingdom. Only under His rule will there be peace instead of war, justice instead of inequity, and righteousness instead of wickedness. But that glorious even will not occur without fierce opposition from Satan, his demon hordes, and the world of wicked sinners. How important is the Church in the New Testament? the Church is promised a special place in the plan and purpose of God. The Church, that Jesus established, are the participants of an incredible end time even which will include the groom, who is the Lamb, Jesus Christ. Every person who is a member of the body of Christ will be there as is bride. As a believer you are cordially invited to the “Marriage Supper of the Lamb.” The moment we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior we become part of this Bride to be. The Marriage Supper of the Lamb will be a magnificent end time even. Meanwhile, as we are celebrating at this great feast in heaven, the angels of the Lord are carrying our God’s judgements of the great Tribulation on earth. If you are a Child of God, look with anticipation toward that great event. If you are not, understand that the Word of God is a glorious invitation to join that wonderful event. The book of Revelation is not only a book proclaiming judgment and displaying the wrath of God, it is also a book that depicts a wonderful scene in heaven, and one of the glorious events that is mentioned is found in Revelation 19:6-10! Here we are invited to see the loving ceremony which will usher in that long-awaited event – the second coming of Christ. The marriage supper of the Lamb is a glorious celebration of the marriage of Jesus to HIs Bride the church. Having been presented glorified, purified, and spotless before God’s throne, the Bride is made ready to be presented to her husband. The blessed truth that God will be in personal fellowship forever with all the redeemed saints of all the ages is so significant that the angel who showed John these things, say “Write: Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb! … These are true words of God.” (Revelation 19:9).
