by Jim Jamison

Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways Acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”  We are living in interesting times, with the election coming up, and the turmoil in the Middle East, we wonder that is going on?  If you factor in all that the uncertainties of our own lives, it can create very hectic life circumstances.  In the midst of all these challenges, we have to make a decision, and that is to trust God in the areas that we cannot control.  For the peace of God to rule in our hearts, we need to remember that “God’s got this!”  Find your comfort and strength in the reality of God’s plan and power to provide the direction in our lives.  Find your rest in a God who cares for you and will give you the direction you need from His word. … READ MORE

Rest in the Lord – Psalm 118:8

Evil was and is Satan’s tool to chip away at God’s order and perfection. Evil reverses everything God set out to accomplish. Yet, while Satan attempted to chip away at God’s direction, God has determined to deal with that problem of sin in our lives. God chose to send His Son to the world, so that our decaying position before Him, can be restored based on the Work that Jesus did on our behalf on the Cross. How do we know that was sufficient? Three days after His death, Jesus rose from the dead, to demonstrate that He destroyed the power of Satan and death in the lives of those who will follow Him. While we still struggle with … READ MORE
