How is it possible for us to live in a way that will please the Lord? Hebrews 11:6 “Without faith it is impossible to Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” How is it that we are able to seek God when, “No one seeks after God.” (Romans 3:11). Faith is brought about by the ministry of the Holy Spirit, who works in us to develop a walk that pleases the Lord. David said in Psalm 51:10, Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” This is a reminder that our walk with the Lord is enabled by the Lord Himself. May we recognize that the ability to grow and change is a work of God in applying the Scripture to our hearts, through the power of the Holy Spirit. No one is to “far gone” to come to the Lord. After listing a number of sinful lifestyles, Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 6:11 “And such were some of you: But ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” My friend, allow God to transform you into the image of His Son through the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
