1 Corinthians 15:3-4 says, “For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. Between the crucifixion and the resurrection there is a burial of Jesus. At first thought it would seem to be anything but miraculous, a rather mundane and necessary act with little or no consequence except for what happens on both ends of it. But that is not the case at all. The burial of Jesus Christ is as supernatural and as miraculous in many ways as was His death and as will be His resurrection. It is a marvelous and thrilling account of supernatural intervention in every detail in the life of Crist. . . for His birth to His burial to His resurrection, everything is controlled by God the Father for the fulfillment of divine purpose and prophecy. Take time to read Matthew 27: 57-61 and see that three parties play a very significant role in that burial, which ultimately speaks to the truthfulness of Christ claim to be the Son of God. God is giving us this testimony to us that everything about Jesus’ life, death, burial, resurrection, and ascension, is all fulfillment of God’s divine plan in the world. Always remember that God is in the details of life of each one of us, and even in our death’s God has a plan and a purpose. Rest in that knowledge today.
