Matthew 8:5-10 gives us the account of the Centurian who asked Jesus to heal his servant. He told Jesus that He did not have to come to his house only say the word and his servant would be healed because of the power that was at Jesus’ disposal. Jesus responds in verse 10 by saying, “… I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!” Great faith is focused on the Father not the circumstance. It is entrenched in the Word of God, it meditates on the Word of God, It is trusting in the promises of God, and trusts in the nature and character of God. Great faith desires to know the ways of God and has discovered the will of God. Great faith is determined to endure no matter what. Our faith needs to remind us who God is, and what He has said. In light of that we need to choose to believe Him no matter what!
