Mothers who make a difference – Eunice – 2 Timothyy 1:1-5

by Jim Jamison

Timothy first joined Paul on his journeys in Acts 16:1-3 after he visits a city called Lystra and we see him being a faithful friend even in Paul’s imprisonment in Rome. Timothy, along with his mother and grandmother, were Jewish believers who heard about Christ and accepted Him. The faith that was in Timothy was first in his grandmother and also in his mom. (2 Timothy 1:1-5). They became an example of faith to they young Timothy as they taught him the scriptures. This leads us to our final question concerning mom’s … how much time do you spend talking wo your children and grandchildren about the Scripture. There are three things I want to remind us of in regard to Hannah, The Supportive Mother. First, Always remember God answers our prayers concerning our children. Not always in the way we want, or in the time we want, but He will hear and answer. Second, We should give children to the Lord to serve as He sees fit. We must remember we are given the stewardship responsibility to raise them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, not to attempt to save them for our heritage. And Finally, We should support our children as they live in the will of God for their lives. We must always remember that God has a plan for their lives, just as He does ours. … READ MORE
