Missionary team report – The Frinks

Plan on Joining us Sunday morning November 19, beginning at 9:30 am (for Sunday School).  As we will learn of the ministry of Charlie and Bonita Frink.  They will be sharing during Sunday School their ministry, and how God has used them on their field.  During the morning service Charlie will be sharing with us from the Word of God.  And after the service we will adjourn to the Fellowship Hall for a time of fellowship.  They are here during the Sunday that we normally celebrate Thanksgiving as a church family, and it is our privilege to get to know them informally during this mealtime.  Pray for them as they plan on joining us, and prepare to be challenged and encouraged by their staff report to us.… READ MORE

The Struggle with life – Psalm 39

Psalm 39 speaks to us of the brevity of life, and is tied to the books of Job, and Ecclesiastes. David learned from Job, and he provided material for his son, Solomon, to evaluate his life and choices. David is saying, “Here, Lord I have written the words, you write the music. Tune up my heart and set my soul to singing – even in this Lord!” All of us have struggled with the events of life. The Purpose of the Ascension – Acts 1:1-11

Because we do not talk much about Jesus’ Ascension we have for the most part ignored its significance, in our Daily lives.  We need to understand that the Ascension provides the divine provision for us to have deliverance over sin and the power of Satan.  In the Ascension Christ met the need to have a representative with God before the throne.   and as a result we have deliverance from Satan.  Hebrews 4:16-17 reminds us that Jesus is our High priest and is sympathetic to our struggle here on the earth.  Remember, he understands the power of temptation, and provided the resources to overcome that temptation in our lives.  as a result of his work, we have access into the very presence of God.  Not because we are worthy, but because Christ’s righteousness is imputed to us, through the Holy Spirit, which He sent to indwell those who put their faith in His redemptive work.  We will conclude this study this Sunday, October 29 at 10:30 am.  Why not plan on joining us if you can.… READ MORE
